Memories will last a lifetime!!
Summer is a special time of year where many of us plan vacations with our families to make lifelong memories. Our family had no intentions of going to Disney World this summer but, it happened! I also never imagined I'd be writing a blog post about it but, I wanted to share some fashion related tips, as well as some Disney tips that I think might be helpful if you are heading there anytime soon.
First and foremost, July in Disney World is HOT! I know that goes without saying but, it needed to be said!! Disney graphic tees are cute but, I would make sure they are light, breathable and will soak up the sweat you'll be giving off! Biker shorts were 100% a win for me! They definitely assisted in avoiding the "chub rub" and were not at all encumbering like I had imagined. Activewear is a great option for a long day at the park as well. Most athleticwear or athleisurewear is made out of light, breathable, sweat proof materials like polyester, nylon, rayon, or spandex. I felt the most cool in these outfits. This type of clothing is also perfect for those "you will get wet" rides! One thing I do not recommend wearing all day long in the park is denim. Denim can be constricting and it doesn't hold up to sweat! My daughter was very sorry she wore denim shorts on our first day. Some pieces I packed and wore throughout our trip are now sold out but I am going to link similar pieces below.
The most important thing you need to pack for a Disney trip is a stellar pair of walking/running shoes. Trust me when I say, this will MAKE or BREAK your entire trip! Do not wear tennis shoes, do not wear comfortable sandals, wear the running sneakers! Invest in a pair that makes you feel like your walking on clouds. If you don't, you likely won't make it through your trip unless you carry lots of ibuprofen and band-aids! The sneakers I wore did not do the job for me and it almost ruined my trip. I am going to link some better options for you here: New Balance, Brooks, Adidas
Here are some Disney inspired tanks and tees for you:

Tip: Order your Mickey/Minnie ears from Amazon prior to your trip! Smartest thing ever! They are are third of the cost and we were able to coordinate them with our outfits while packing. There are so many color options!
While I am not Disney expert and I am no Disney blogger, I wanted to share some of the things that my family and I enjoyed. Being that my kids are not really "kids" anymore, they are 15 and 12, we were able to experience some of the bigger, faster rides together! We were also able to get up earlier and get to the parks earlier, something that saved us so much time in the long run! We did the most popular rides first thing in the morning; we were there well before park opening and it was absolutely worth it!
Magic Kingdom: Most loved ride- Splash Mountain & Space Mountain
Not worth the wait in my opinion- The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Most fun family attraction (also a cool theater to take a break in) -Mickey's PhilharMagic
Hollywood Studios: Most loved ride- Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror
Most fun family ride/attraction- 1. Slinky Dog Dash Rollercoaster- its not just for the little ones!
2. Toy Story Mania - 4D shootin' fun for the entire family!
Animal Kingdom: Most loved ride- Expedition Everest- Racing through to the top of a mountain only to find that the track you are on is broken and then shooting backwards in the dark!!! Need I say more!!??
Most fun family attraction- The Lion King Show- not quite as I remembered it due to Covid, however, it did not disappoint
Overall favorite ride/attraction: Avatar Flight of Passage is the most amazing ride I have ever been on. The graphics are the beyond impressive. The motion is both intense, thrilling and oddly realistic. You truly do feel as if you are flying on a mountain banshee, whatever that may be. It may be slightly too intense for those who easily get sick but the experience is such a rush I believe its well worth the risk.
If Disney is in your near future, I hope you find a little excitement in reading my blog post. If its not, you may want to consider it! You are never too old for Disney World! In fact, the older you get, the more you appreciate the magic of Disney!
